Oil spill on city’s west side causes traffic delays

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An oil spill on the city’s west side causes traffic delays.

The Perry Township Fire Department and Evansville Police responded to the spill Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at the intersection of Red Bank Road and the Lloyd Expressway.

The fire chief says a lot of oil spilled on the roadway.

“A semi west bound here on the Lloyd blew a turbo which put a bunch of oil, engine oil on the roadway. It stretches 50-75 yards.”

There were no reported injuries in the incident.

Cleanup caused some traffic delays around the area.
