One person is dead after a crash involving a reported drunk driver in Knox County.

This happened along US-41 at Freelandville Road in Oaktown around 7:30 p.m. Eastern time Monday.

The sheriff says a pickup truck crossed the highway into the path of a motorcycle. We’re told the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene and his passenger was flown to Indianapolis in critical condition.

Deputies arrested the driver of the pickup, Donnie Robinson, 45, near the scene.

The sheriff’s office says Robinson was nearly three times over the legal limit.

The sheriff’s office is not releasing the identities of the two people on the motorcycle at this time as family is being notified.
