One Evansville man arrested after shots fired

Evansville, Ind. (WEHT) – Law enforcement arrested a man after an hour and a half long search that closed several roads tonight.
Evansville police say they responded to a shots fired call just before five tonight. They found that a house in the 700 block of prosperity avenue had been shot several times.
Law enforcement including the Vanderburgh county sheriff’s office searched for a suspect using k-9’s and a drone.
Crews closed Bayse Street between Kentucky and shade-wood avenues during that search.
They tell us they found the man hiding underneath some equipment and brush in the area.
He will be facing a minimum charge of resisting arrest but no information on other charges is available tonight. No one was hurt during that search.
