One person injured after shooting in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Eyewitness News was on the scene of shots fired on the south side of Evansville where one person was injured.

It happened before 9 p.m. Tuesday night at Weinbach and Conlin Avenue.

An EPD Sergeant says a woman was hit by a bullet as she sat in her car.

He says the bullet went through the car door and struck the woman in the leg.

The woman suffered only minor injuries.

Officers say they are questioning a man near the scene who had a gun, but have not determined whether that gun was used in the incident.

Police are still investigating.
