One person killed in overnight ultralight crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Indiana State Police said one person died after an ultralight aircraft crashed into a field in the northern part of Orange County.

The crash occurred overnight just before 9:00 P.M.

The occupant was pronounced dead at the scene by Orange County coroner, Aaron Kemple, and an autopsy will be conducted today in order to positively identify the deceased.

The FAA is due to arrive at the crash site this morning and will try to determine what caused the aircraft to go down.
