On Tuesday afternoon, police said suspect Earl Cook was arrested in Christian County, Kentucky.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – On Tuesday, the Owensboro Police Department obtained a warrant for a man they said fought an officer and dragged the officer with his car while speeding off.

Earl R. Cook, of Crofton, Kentucky, is accused of felony assault in the first degree and felony fleeing or evading police in the first degree.

Police said Cook’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.

He may be armed and should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.

If you see him, police ask that you call 911 immediately or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.

The police officer dragged in the incident, Officer Kyle Mullins, continues to recover from his injuries, the police department said on Tuesday.
