OPD investigates after vehicle, residence hit by gunfire

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – On Wednesday, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 2000 block of West 9th St.

Police said they spoke to a victim who said someone had fired several shots while he was sitting in a parked vehicle.

The victim was not injured, but the vehicle was struck two times and a residence was hit, police said.

According to police, multiple shell casings and bullet fragments were found at the scene.
