OPD: Man accused of firing handgun while driving under the influence

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – On Saturday, the Owensboro Police Department responded to four shots fired reports throughout the city.

Police said the suspect vehicle involved in all four incidents was a gold or brown four-door car.

Officers said they found a gold car driving erratically and squealing its tires.

Police said they tried to stop the vehicle, but it fled from them before wrecking at the intersection of East 25th St. and Breckinridge St.

Justin Louden, 30, was arrested on charges of wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police, reckless driving, criminal mischief, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Police said they recovered a handgun and multiple rounds of used ammunition were recovered the vehicle consistent with the previous firearm discharges.
