Open forum held, public gives feedback on designs for Lou Dennis Park

Local News

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – The company behind the new design for Lou Dennis Park held an open forum to get feedback from the public.

The town of Newburgh opened the floor to the public to voice their concerns with the master plan for the community park renovations.

Ideas for the new design include an upgraded playground, a 2,000-square-foot event space and an entryway featuring works from local artists.

Officials say there are no official plans in place for a new city pool.

“We really just started the design process and we’ve got kind of a grand vision that we’re putting forth and we’re looking for feedback and ideas and really to hear all the neighbors’ concerns.”

Ideas proposed at the meeting have not been approved for construction yet.

The master plan was unveiled earlier this month.
