DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – More than 30 cats were removed from a Daviess County home and the owner is being charged.

Daviess County Animal Control officials said they were taken out of a home on the 700 block of Jed Place on Tuesday.

Animal Control Director Ashley Thompson said there were flies and a strong ammonia smell in the home.

Thompson also said litter boxes weren’t cleaned out for a while.

Thompson also said the owner is looking to take some of the cats back.
