Overnight pursuit in Evansville lands multiple arrests

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — An overnight chase in Evansville lands multiple arrests.

Evansville Police received a Shots Fired call around 12:30 Wednesday morning in the area of Judson Street and Lincoln Avenue.

EPD attempted to pull over a car they thought my be involved with the call, and it took off.

Officers followed the car to MLK Blvd., 4th Street, Riverside, and where the pursuit ended — on Waterworks and 41.

During the chase, police say narcotics and a handgun were thrown out of the car.

25-year-old Darian Givens, 21-year-old Thomas Vincent and 21-year-old Sydney Nelson, all from Mt. Vernon, were arrested.

Givens faces charges including Possessing a Weapon without a License, Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, and Dealing and Possession of Meth.

Vincent faces charges of Dealing and Possession of Meth.

Nelson is facing charges of Resisting Arrest and Reckless Driving.

The three are now in Vanderburgh County Jail.
