OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Owensboro’s annual air show begins Friday night at 4 p.m. at the Owensboro Regional Airport with an up-close look at some of the aircraft and a few performers will even take to the sky around sunset.
On Saturday, the show begins on the riverfront around 1 p.m.
One of the cooler things about the show each year is the closure of the Blue Bridge.
Saturday, there’s a 5K run at 7:15 a.m.
Then, around 9:30 a.m., the bridge will be open to the general public to walk, bike, and run on.
That will go on until the air show begins at 1 p.m.
Joe Bird will take flight in the cockpit of a stunt plane on Eyewitness News Daybreak on Friday morning.
