The Owensboro City Commissioners have voted unanimously to pass a condemnation ordinance for Gabe’s Tower.

The tower has stood vacant for years and at Tuesday’s board meeting, a vote was expected on the city allowing a negotiation of the building’s purchase or condemnation.

This comes after the building’s owners missed the deadline to pay a bond to rehab the building.
