Owensboro considering outdoor dining

Local News

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT)- As Kentucky restaurants wait to reopen their dining rooms, the City of Owensboro is considering closing off parts of streets for outdoor diners.

Since the number of customers inside a restaurant will be limited, Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson says the move outside can help restaurants serve more customers.

While safety and public works issues still have to be worked out, Watson says the plan would start with restaurants in downtown Owensboro.
