DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – In a few weeks, school buses will be full of students heading to class but today they’re full of school supplies.
Owensboro and Daviess County Public Schools are kicking off their third annual ‘Stuff the Bus’ drive.
People are dropping off school supplies at Walmart’s on Frederica Street and Highway 54.
It makes sure all kids have all the supplies they need for the first day of class.
“It makes a huge difference because you have kids coming in to school that may or may not have school supplies. So, this gives us an opportunity to give school supplies to these kiddos so that they’re ready to start their school year.”
The campaign runs until 7:00 Friday night.
School supplies include:
Paper (loose leaf and notebooks)
Pencils, pens, highlighters, crayons
Folders and binders
