OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport recommends staying with its current essential air service provider.
Airport Director Rob Barnett says the board decided to renew its deal with Cape Air for another two years. Cape Air was one of four airlines which bid last week to be the essential air service provider at Owensboro.
The recommendation now heads to the U.S. Department of Transportation for its approval. Barnett says that decision could happen in the next six weeks.
