Owensboro fire department tells community to prepare


OWENSBORO CITY, Ky. (WEHT)- With recent fire related deaths Owensboro city officials are encouraging people to be prepared.

Batallion Chief Steve Leanord said to “Make sure smoke detectors at home work and have an escape route to get to safety.”

Leonard stated that smoke detectors improve chances of getting out of a burning home by as much as 90%.
