Owensboro Health Foundation offering free booster seats to families in need

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — Owensboro Health is offering area families an opportunity to have car and booster seats professionally checked and installed for free.

The event will take place on Wednesday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Owensboro Health Healthpark, located at 1006 Ford Avenue in Owensboro.

Owensboro Health Foundation is funding the training of 22 Child Passenger Safety Technicians, who will earn their national child passenger safety certification as part of the event.

The Foundation is also providing 100 car seats at no cost to families in need.

The car seat checks will occur in the staff parking lot, which can be accessed from Robin Road.

Proof of income must be provided at the event to determine eligibility.
