OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – An Owensboro man accused of committing one crime is now accused of committing several more while trying to run away from the original crime scene.

Ryan Baker faces charges of assault in connection with an incident Monday outside the Peddler’s Market off Southtown Boulevard in Daviess County.

Deputies say Baker was accused of stealing items from the market, jumped into his car to get away, and hit two people while leaving the parking lot.

Those people were treated and released for minor injuries.

Deputies found Baker a short time later and took him into custody.

Baker is being held on a $100,000 cash bond in the Daviess County Jail. He’s expected to appear in court on November 6th.
