An Owensboro man is in the hospital with injuries after being in a car accident on Saturday afternoon.
The Daviess County Sheriff's office believes the driver, James Boles, may have had alcohol in his system when he crashed with his one-year-old in his Jeep.
The sheriff's office says James Boles was driving westbound on KY 56 when it appeared that Boles' Jeep dropped off the right shoulder of the road.
The sheriff's office says Boles' Jeep then came back onto the road and crossed the street, hitting several road signs before hitting concrete steps in someone's yard and overturning back onto the road.
Boles' sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital, according to authorities.
Sheriff's deputies say Boles' one-year-old son was in a car seat and only received minor scratches.
According to reports, alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
