Owensboro man is found competent to stand trial

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT)- A judge ruled that an Owensboro man is mentally competent to stand trial for murder.

Travon Anthony is accused of shooting and killing Todd Raley in September of 2018. The shooting occurred on West Second Street in Owensboro.

Defense attorneys raised concerns about Anothony’s mental capabilities, but a judge ruled Anthony is able to aid in his own defense.

Anthony will be in court in April to set a trial date.
