OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Owensboro city leaders voted Thursday to repeal the annexation of nine Daviess County properties into city limits.

The city commission officially repealed the annexation which they initially approved last month.

It would have put more than 1,000 employees under a higher occupation tax rate, but after negotiations with Daviess County Public Schools, officials decided to rescind the ordinance.
