Travelers fueling up as gas prices plummet

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT)- Oil is ending the week with the biggest plunge in prices since 2008 as major producers prepare to drench the market with supply as the coronavirus crushes demand.

After failing to broker deal oil producers led by Saudi Arabia and Russia started a price war for market share.

Some people say when they saw the low price tag today they couldn’t help but stop and fill up in Henderson.

“If I’m ever here it’s worth it. I wouldn’t drive all the way over here for it but if I’m here I’ll stop every time”

Gas Buddy says the national average for a gallon of gas right now is right around $2.20.
