Owensboro High School celebrates the future plans of their seniors as they get ready to pick up their diploma.
The school had its first college decision day on Monday morning, highlighting where their soon-to-be graduates will go to college, serve in the armed forces, or enter the workforce.
Some seniors say it shows the results of all the years of studying. They also hope this inspires other students to further their education.
“Not everyone knows that,” said Nicholas Brake. “No one knows, especially academic and fine arts scholarships. Everyone here is about big sports, and you have your signing days. But you don’t know all the great stuff everyone else is doing because there is a lot of good stuff going on.”
More than 200 of the school’s graduating class were honored during Monday’s ceremony.
