Panther Creek Bridge could be open by Thanksgiving

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A heavily traveled highway in western Kentucky should be open in time for the holidays.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it plans to re-open the bridge over Panther Creek on Highway 81 in Daviess County by Thanksgiving.

The road has been closed since August 14th when a truck carrying a load hit the bridge, which caused enough damage to force officials to close the bridge and make emergency repairs.
