(WEHT)- Dozens of skiers and snowboarders came out Wednesday afternoon to the only ski resort of its kind in the Tri-State after mild winter weather forced Paoli Peaks to shut down for several weeks.
The popular Indiana ski resort reopened its ski and snowboard slopes on Wednesday. The tubing hill remained closed and will reopen Friday. Sylvia Crick, the director of marketing and administration at Paoli Peaks said several factors have to come together for ideal skiing conditions, including air and ground temperature.
After warm temperatures to begin January, Crick says last weekend’s cold snap provided Paoli Peaks the right conditions to manufacture snow.
