Parade to celebrate Jasper graduates

Local News

JASPER, Ind. (WEHT)- Several high school graduations were held Friday across the Tri-State with safe social distancing.

Jasper High School seniors took part in a parade Friday. The caravan was led by first responders as it traveled across the city with people out cheering them on. Students say they appreciate the school’s effort to give them a big send-off.

“The school has been doing a really good job of trying to allow us just to have as many experiences as we possibly can have with the situation. They’ve tried I mean putting on the parade today and they’re still going for having a graduation ceremony which I really appreciate,” Anna Kidwell says.

Jasper is still planning to hold a traditional ceremony on July 24th but officials are still working out how it will look.
