Parents say registered sex offender was allowed in school by principal

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Parents in Henderson County are upset after they say a registered sex offender was allowed inside a school.

The incident happened earlier this week during pre-school orientation at the Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center.

School officials said the person is a parent of a student at the school.

They also said the person received permission from the principal to be inside.

The person was supervised at all times, and the person will not be allowed back on the campus, according to school officials.

Some parents took to social media to say they were upset they were not informed earlier, and that the person should not have been allowed inside the school.
