Part of Riverside Drive closed for July 4 fireworks


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Fourth of July in Evansville will mean fireworks along the riverfront, which also means a closing of Riverside Drive.

Crews shut the road down between Cherry and Court early Wednesday.

It should reopen Friday afternoon.

Downtown Evansville will host Fireworks on the Ohio on July 4 on the riverfront. Fireworks are expected to start at 9 p.m., with other events kicking off at 6 p.m. Click here for more details.
