U.S. 60 West in Corydon back open after crash downed power poles


CORYDON, Ky (WEHT) – U.S. 60 near the Dollar General in Corydon is back open after a morning crash.

Crews were called to US 60 around 6 a.m. Wednesday for a vehicle that had struck a utility pole. According to Corydon Civil Defense Fire & Rescue, when crews arrived, they found the pole had been shattered in half, a transformer was leaking, and low power lines were hanging across the street.

The road was blocked for a few hours while crews could secure the transformer. All lanes are now back open.
