KSP identifies person hit by train in Henderson County

SPOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police said that Teddy Williams, 45 of Spottsville, was killed in a train collision Monday night.

Troopers said they were notified before 8 p.m. by Henderson County authorities.

Williams was on the CSX tracks near KY 1078N when a passing train struck him, authorities said.

The coroner’s office pronounced Williams dead on the scene.

No one else reported injuries and no foul play is suspected, KSP said.

The investigation is ongoing.

SPOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – Henderson County Dispatch confirms a person was hit by a train in the Spottsville area Monday night.

It happened in the 13000 block of Highway 1078 North.

Kentucky state police are investigating, and there is no word on the person’s condition.

We’re told the highway will be closed for a few hours.
