EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An anonymous donor known as “Pete” delivered a gift to Easterseals on Wednesday.

Pete has made 39 donations since 1990.

Pete called Easterseals Director of Marketing and Community Relations and asked her, “What day do you think this is?”

“It must be ‘Pete Day!’” Kirk replied over the phone.

Pete left his donation near an outdoor trash container by the organization’s parking lot.

The package contained a wooden box with a glass angel figurine that had zip ties attached with $3,000 attached in cash.

The donations will be used to buy gifts for children with disabilities from disadvantaged families, per Pete’s request.

Pete’s contributions over the past 29 years total $94,450.
