PHILPOT, Ky. (WEHT)- Kentucky State Police say they arrested 29-year-old Jonathan Mattingly after a pursuit that lasted eight miles Wednesday night.
The pursuit reportedly ended at Mattingly’s residence in Philpot when authorities say Mattingly tried to run inside the home before being confronted by law enforcement. Officers say Mattingly would not comply and took an “aggressive stance.”
One officer deployed his taser but Mattingly reportedly still continued to resist until Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies released their canine. Mattingly was taken to a local hospital before being transported to the Daviess County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police have charged Mattingly with wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, fleeing, as well as several traffic violations. Kentucky State Police say Mattingly could still be charged by other law enforcement agencies.
