Pizza shop provides free Thanksgiving meals

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A pizza shop on North Main St. provided free Thanksgiving meals to people who stopped in on Thursday.

Pizza Pub served up turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, and all the Thanksgiving fixings.

They opened at 1 p.m. Thursday and plan to serve until the food runs out.

The community meal was a collaboration with BBR Ministries.

Other businesses stepped in to help.

By 1:30 p.m., they had served almost 200 people and management said they expected to serve around 400.
