Police asking for your help locating an escaped inmate

Madisonville, KY (WEHT) Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who escaped from work release.

KSP say Bennie Britt, Jr. was last seen at the Madisonville Sanitation Department on February 4 around 12:10 p.m.

Britt is described as having black hair, brown eyes, approximately 6’1″ tall, and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing his jail issued khaki shirt and pants.

Britt was in jail on charges of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.
