Police chase goes through eight counties

It started in Hardin County, Illinois and ended in Evanvsille, In

More than a dozen law enforcement officers helped end an eight county chase in Evansville, IN that started in Southern Illinois.

Authorities from all three states were on scene and provided us with pieces to this puzzling police pursuit.

A Hardin County, Illinois Sheriff's Deputy said he tried to pull over the suspect for speeding.

He did not stop.

The chase then went on this path: Pope County - Saline County - Gallatin County - across the Shawneetown Bridge - Union County, KY - Webster County - Henderson County and, finally, ended in Vanderburgh County near U.S. 41 & I-69.

Authorities also said the suspect hit a couple police cruisers during the portion of the chase that went through Henderson. But no police officers were injured in all of this.

The suspect was arrested in Evansville and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail.

His name has not been released at this time.
