Police: Homeowner views surveillance cameras, finds woman inside his house

JASPER, Ind. (WEHT) – A Jasper woman is accused of breaking into a home in the Holy Family area.

Cassandra “Cassie” Meyer, 36, is charged with burglary.

It happened on Aug. 20th around 3:00 p.m. at a home on Main Street in Jasper.

Jasper Police responded to a complaint from a homeowner that there was a woman inside his home.

The homeowner told police his home surveillance cameras activated and notified him there was movement in the office area of his house.

When he reviewed the footage, he saw the woman, then called police.

Police located the woman later identified as Meyer.

During an investigation, police say Cassie got into the home without the homeowner’s permission with the intent on stealing items from inside the residence.

Meyer is being held in the Dubois County Jail.
