Police Investigating Murder of Radio DJ

Local News

Three people are now in custody as police investigate the murder of a popular radio disk jockey. The body of Matt Luecking was found in his Terre Haute apartment on Monday morning.

About an hour later, a tip came in that Luecking’s credit cards and ID’s were being used at a Walmart 20 miles away.

Store employees noticed the odd behavior of those using the items and got the license plate of the vehicle they left in.

Police then traced the vehicle to a Parke County home.

There, they say they found two men loading items into Luecking’s vehicle.

Two men and a woman are now charged in the case.

Charges include murder, robbery, burglary, and assisting a criminal.

Luecking, a native of Princeton, Indiana, was a DJ on Terre Haute radio station WFNB.

He also served on the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine just how he died.
