Police reports: Man arrested in connection with armed robbery at Sam’s Food Market

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – According to police reports, a man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery that happened on May 7 at Sam’s Food Market & Smoke Shop.

Police said an employee reported that a man came into the store and bought a soft drink with a debit card, left, and came back 25 seconds later with a blue bandana over his face.

The employee told authorities man displayed a handgun and had the employee put the entire money drawer in a plastic bag and then he ran out of the store.

Police said they set up a perimeter with K-9 tracking, but they were unable to locate the suspect.

Larreek Demetrius Timmons was arrested Tuesday in connection with the case.

According to the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office, Timmons faces traffic charges, resisting law enforcement charges, and possession of paraphernalia charges.
