EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Evansville Water Sewer Utility announced Thursday access to the south end of the Greenway trail on the downtown riverfront will be closed for one year beginning Monday, April 20.

During the closure, EWSU will work on construction of Sunrise Cascade and Sunrise Overlook. Public access to the trail will only be from behind the Evansville Museum on Riverside Dr.

EWSU says Sunrise Cascade and Sunrise Overlook are part of major improvements underway at the East Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Greenway trail will reopen when the Sunrise Pump Station project is complete in 2021.
