MT. VERNON, Ind. (WEHT)- 30-year-old Robert Wolf was sentenced after pleading guilty to hitting his three-year-old stepdaughter.
Wolf was sentenced to one year in prison and three years on Posey County Community Corrections. As part of the sentence, Wolf was ordered to not have any contact with the victim.
According to police records, Wolf struck the victim over a potty-training accident, causing handprint-shaped bruising on the victim’s face.
Posey County Prosecutor Thomas Clowers said, “There is a big difference between appropriate parental discipline and what Robert Wolf did to his stepdaughter in this case. The injuries this child victim sustained were significant and disturbing.”
