Possible viral outbreak at Henderson County Detention Center

(WEHT)- Eyewitness News received a series of phone calls from family members of inmates at the Henderson County Detention Center in Kentucky saying that a mysterious illness was spreading through the jail.

Eyewitness cannot confirm anything at this time, but an Eyewitness News crew visited the jail and observed some jail personnel wearing gloves and surgical masks.

Our crew was told that the jail was unable to comment at this time. Phone lines at the detention center still appear to be down however, jail personnel say a transformer had blown but has since been repaired.
