Post House Project approved for tax increment financing

Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke announced Tuesday that the Post House Project in downtown Evansville has received approval for the use of tax increment financing.

The $40 million mixed-use building will be built at Sycamore and Second Street, behind Bru Burger.

A tentative groundbreaking date for the Post House is set for August.

The mayor said the Post House is southwest Indiana's largest Regional Cities Project.

The housing, retail and office complex will be a 'living laboratory' to test smart energy products, behavioral energy usage programs, and clean energy generation technologies.
