Update:

All power appears to be restored, according to Vectren’s outage map.

Original story:

Part of Evansville has been dealing with flickering lights and power outages Thursday night. Several people have reported lights going out and intermittent surges.

Vectren spokesperson Natalie Hedde says a transmission line tripped in the Heidelbach substation area, leaving about 100 customers with no electricity.

Some lights went out at Bosse Field, forcing a high school baseball game to be postponed.

Hedde says crews are working now to fix the problem. She says during the restoration work, the crews will be investigating what caused the trip.

Hedde says power should not be out for an extended length of time.
