Preparations underway for Madisonville’s Fourth Fest

Local News

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – Cities across the Tri-State are finishing up their preparations for festivities on Fourth of July.

In Madisonville, they put up the stage and prepared City Park for their Fourth Fest.

The Charlie Daniels Band is scheduled to perform Thursday night.

Mayor Kevin Cotton says they’re making room for big crowds expected to be between 7,000 to 10,000 people.

“We had a waterway that was going into the lake. We were able to add an additional 100 feet of seating space just by tiling that off and leveling it off just so we can have a better vantage point to the stage.”

Fourth Fest is scheduled to start on July 4th at 4:00.
