VANDERBURGH COUNTY, In. (WEHT) — Last minute preparations are underway for the 99th annual Vanderburgh County 4-H Fair, opening Monday.
An estimated 45,000 people are expected to attend this year.
Gates open Monday at 3 p.m.
BKA Cart racing starts at 6:30, and the fair queen pageants starts at 7 p.m.

(Robin Lax, 4H leader/Homemaker) “It’s a County Fair, plus it’s 4H, and it’s very organized and it’s very clean,” said 4-H leaders Robin Lax. “There’s so many different things, there are things for the entire family.”

2016’s Miss Vanderburgh County, Becca Lax, agrees.

“It’s about who you talked to tonight and the families come back every night of the fair. It’s just the attractions we have, the animals, the projects, and everyone is just, you feel like family here because everyone knows everybody.”

Admission is $8. Children under 9 get in for free.
