EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) -Driving along the Lloyd Expressway (IN-66) will be slow moving at times as a project has begun between IN-261 in Newburgh and Highway 41 in Evansville.

Crews are currently working on a section near the intersection of I-69 with lane restrictions along east and westbound lanes.

Jason Tiller from INDOT says this is a labor intensive project that requires crews to remove shock absorbing pads in between sections of concrete, clean the joint, and then install a new shock absorber.

Tiller also says areas of concrete that need repaired will be removed and new concrete poured.

According to INDOT’s website, this project is expected to last until June 2020.
