Eyewitness News has confirmed the death of prominent Webster County resident Jim Crouse.
Crouse was pronounced dead on the scene of a single utility vehicle accident that happened on his property on State Road 1063, near Dixon.
The Webster County Sheriff's Department was notified of the accident Thursday evening shortly after 8.
Dixon Rescue Fire Department and Webster County EMS all responded.
The Sheriffs Department says the Webster Deputy Coroner pronounced Crouse dead at the scene.
Authorities say the accident happened when the UTV exited the roadway, went down an embankment and overturned.
Crouse was a farmer, and served on several Webster County boards.
