Recovery work continues at O.Z. Tyler Distillery

Local News

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Last month, a storm caused a partial collapse of a rickhouse at O.Z. Tyler Distillery. Officials said on Wednesday that they’re still recovering barrels as part of an overhaul plan, that includes taking down the entire structure.

This recovery work comes as a Jim Beam warehouse caught fire Tuesday night in Woodford County, Kentucky.

Another Kentucky bourbon barrel warehouse collapsed in 2018. Half of a warehouse collapsed at the Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown in June 2018, and the other half came down two weeks later.
