EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — With the first couple days of the Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana being called a success, executive director Theo Boots joined Eyewitness News for an interview.
Boots thanks the community for their generosity and says they’re currently booked on appointments through Monday but have several openings for the rest of next week.
She also says blood will be a continuing need because it only has a shelf life of 42 days.
Currently, the Red Cross is looking for locations to host blood drives. With many schools and churches closed, thousands of blood drives across the country have been canceled.
Watch the video above for the full interview with Boots and more information on how you can donate and the safety precautions the Red Cross is taking.
